Why Heirloom Path
What sets our approach apart
Reflective, Not Prescriptive
Sessions are framed around family storytelling and document organisation, not legal, financial, or medical advice. The pace is yours.
Librarian-Trained Facilitation
Our host holds a library science background. Readings are carefully selected, discussions are structured, and every voice in the group is heard.
Tangible Printed Outputs
Catalogues, audio records, and bound annual volumes are physical objects your family can hold, share, and store on a shelf.
Entirely Personalised
No two families are the same. Every visit and every volume is shaped around the stories, language, and objects that belong to your household.
Respectful Privacy
Everything shared during sessions and visits stays within the project. Your family's stories are yours — we assist with the gathering and shaping, nothing more.
Bangkok-Based Studio
Located in Thong Lor, our compendium room is a calm setting for group sessions. Home visits cover the Bangkok metropolitan area.
Questions
Frequently asked
What happens at a reading group session?
Each of the six fortnightly sessions opens with a short introduction from the facilitator to the week's reading — a book excerpt, an archival article, or a genealogy case study. Participants discuss, share recollections, and leave with a prompt to explore one element of their own family history before the next gathering. No prior knowledge is needed.
How long does an Object Stories Visit take?
Most visits run between three and four hours, depending on how many objects you wish to record and the natural pace of conversation. There is no fixed number of objects — some participants choose five, others choose twenty. The printed catalogue and audio files are delivered within two weeks of the visit.
Who contributes to the Family Year Annual Volume?
The volume is a collective family project. Each household member can contribute essays, photos, recipes, or short notes. Our studio gathers the materials, agrees on a layout and design with you, and produces three printed softcover copies. The process typically spans six to eight weeks from first submission to delivery.
Do I need to attend every reading group session?
We encourage participants to attend all six sessions as the readings build on one another, but life sometimes intervenes. A written summary of each session is provided so that a missed meeting does not leave you behind.
Are sessions available in Thai as well as English?
Reading group sessions are currently conducted in English with Thai language materials available on request. Object Stories Visits and Annual Volume contributions can be recorded or written in Thai — our studio works with both languages.
How is my family's information kept private?
All recordings, photographs, and written contributions are held only for the duration of the production period and then either returned to you or deleted on your request. We do not share, publish, or reproduce your family's material without written permission. Details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
